InnovationLab, an expert in printed and organic electronics, announced a partnership with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany). By working with the world's leading manufacturer of sheetfed offset presses, the company is able to produce cost-effective printed and organic sensors in large quantities. For the first time, the cooperation enables the development and production of customised pressure sensors on an industrial scale and at economic costs.

Heidelberg invests in production of organic and printed electronics

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg, Germany) has set up a dedicated business unit for the industrial development, manufacture, and sale of printed and organic electronics. The company has also started production at its Wiesloch-Walldorf site, investing some €5M in a complete production line for printed sensors. Sensors developed at InnovationLab (iL) in Heidelberg for use in dental technology are set to be printed first.
