DP Patterning partners with Mühlbauer

DP Patterning AB (DPP), subsidiary of the Swedish non-profit electronic research institute Acreo, has signed a contract with the smart card, smart label and semiconductor producer Mühlbauer Group from Roding, Germany. The agreement gives Mühlbauer exclusive rights to exploit passive RFID antennas on the market. This unique manufacturing technology had been developed by Norrköping-based DPP.

Japanese companies unite to advance OLED display technology

The Japanese technology companies Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), Japan Display Inc. (JDI), Sony Corporation and Panasonic Corporation recently announced that they have executed a definitive agreement to establish a new company named JOLED Inc. to integrate Sony and Panasonic's R&D functions for OLED display panels. Through this collaboration, the companies aim to accelerate the development and early commercialisation of OLED display panels. JOLED is scheduled to be launched in January 2015, subject to receipt of any necessary approvals.

KROENERT supplies production line for organic photovoltaics to Brazil

The Hamburg-based KROENERT GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of coating and laminating lines for web materials, is about to finish the construction of the biggest production line for printed electronics and organic photovoltaics (OPV) in the Americas. The system will be supplied to CSEM Brasil, a subsidiary of the Neuchatel, Switzerland-based CSEM SA. With the commissioning of KROENERT’s LabCo, the company wants to strengthen its position as one of the leading organic and printed electronics suppliers.
