Schreiner MediPharm and SCHOTT Pharma present new RFID solution

Pharma label expert Schreiner MediPharm (Oberschleißheim, Germany) and SCHOTT Pharma (Mainz, Germany), the specialist in drug containment and delivery solutions for medications, have been engaged in a partnership for several years. Its objective is to develop new smart concepts that add functional value to prefilled syringes. At the PDA Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference in California, both companies have now for the first time presented a coordinated, newly developed solution to equip prefilled syringes with RFID. The combination of syringe and smart label opens up diverse opportunities to optimise hospital routines, among other things.

Avery Dennison’s atma.io joins CIRPASS to lay the ground for deployment of European digital product passports

Avery Dennison’s (Mentor, Ohio) atma.io connected product cloud joins the CIRPASS consortium, bringing together a core network of leading organisations in building the European vision for a unified Digital Product Passport (DPP) approach across multiple value chains. Funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe Programme, CIRPASS aims to prepare the ground for the gradual piloting and deployment of the DPPs from 2023 onwards, with an initial focus on the electronics, batteries and textile sectors.
