Fitness trackers, smart pharmaceutical packaging, adhesive solar films or steplessly dimmable windows: These are just a few examples of the applications that will be combined under the new focus topic Smart Living. LOPEC, the international exhibition and conference for the printed electronics industry, will thereby demonstrate the innovative opportunities that printed electronics offers to a wide variety of industries. The next LOPEC will take place from 24 to 26 March 2020.
In March, LOPEC took place in Munich with about 160 international companies. They used the opportunity to present a full range of products and solutions for organic and printed electronics, from research to market launch. For Lohmann’s (Neuwied, Germany) bonding engineers, too, printed electronics is a promising market which offers innovative product possibilities. Consumer goods & electronics, transportation, medical, intelligent textiles and packaging are the main focuses of printed electronics – areas in which Lohmann has decades of experience.
Evonik Industries AG (Essen, Germany) has unveiled TAeTTOOz, a new material technology for printable batteries, at the LOPEC 2019 tradeshow that recently took place in Munich. TAeTTOOz has been developed on the basis of what are known as redox polymers by Creavis, the strategic innovation unit of Evonik.
