FlexEnable (Cambridge, UK), a leader in the development and industrialisation of organic electronics for flexible displays and sensors, has partnered with Merck, the global market and technology leader in liquid crystal mixtures, to enable novel display shapes, following FlexEnable’s recent breakthrough with conformable, large area, full colour and video rate OLCDs.
The Merck Group, a leading science and technology company based in Darmstadt, Germany, announced that it has signed a comprehensive materials development agreement with CLEARink Displays, aiming to bring CLEARink’s innovative and patented reflective display technology to market by the end of 2017.
FlexEnable (Cambridge, UK), a leading company dedicated to the development and industrialisation of flexible organic electronics, developed a 12.1” glass-free, conformable organic liquid crystal display (OLCD) marking an important milestone in the commercialisation of large area flexible displays. The technology is compatible with existing LCD production lines, and is scalable to even larger area displays to meet the immediate market needs for applications including automotive, consumer electronics, and digital signage.
