OE-A session at ISPO in Munich: printed electronics in sports

From 28-31 Januray, ISPO 2018, the world’s leading sporting goods trade fair, takes place at Messe München in Munich, Germany. On Monday, 29 January from 12am to 1pm, the OE-A will organise the session “Textiles 4.0: Flexible and Printed Electronics for Smart Sportswear” as part of the ISPO Academy. At the ‘digitize!’ area in Hall 4, the OE-A will give an introduction in organic and printed electronics and various OE-A members will share their expertise on wearables, sensors, and integrated smart systems for applications in sporting goods and the wellbeing sector.

Following this session, the OE-A organises a networking opportunity, which OE-A members can join to get directly in contact with end-users from the sporting goods industry.

Printed electronics can make textiles – and thus also sports clothing – smarter, more interactive and flexible. This technology provides the textile industry with new inspiration and enables the development of new products that were originally unthinkable.

In addition, on Wednesday, 31 January (industry day), the OE-A will present “Printed Electronics for Smart Wearables” at ISPO Textrends. At 4pm in hall C4.10, Dr Robert Lindner will talk about how printed electronics enables new applications in the field of smart textiles and sporting goods.
