CES 2021 showcases innovation and technologies for a better future

The first-ever, all-digital CES 2021, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), opened its full digital experience to audiences around the world. Following a day of exclusive, media-only press conferences and a keynote from Verizon Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg on 11 January, this transformational event provides audiences with a front row seat to the innovation and technologies that will move the world forward. CES 2021 features more than 1900 exhibitors representing the entire tech spectrum and more than 100 conference sessions showcase industry leaders who share visions for a better future. General Motors (GM) chairman and CEO Mary Barra presented the official opening keynote address at 12 January, where she shared GM’s transformational strategy to advance mobility.

ITRI exhibits innovations in e-health wearables at CES 2021

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan’s largest and one of the world’s leading high-tech applied research institutions, demonstrates e-health wearable technologies at its CES 2021 event site. ITRI’s e-health wearable technologies include iCardioGuard for long-term real-time monitoring of physiological and psychological status for home and elderly care; Heart Guardian for continuous real-time monitoring of patients with heart disease; iSmartweaR for measuring physiological conditions including heart rate and respiratory rate using smart textiles; and iDarlingWeaR for infant healthcare featuring ITRI's harmless low-power radar sensing technology.

VARTA presents new generation of CoinPower at CES 2021

At this year's CES, which is being held virtually due to COVID-19, VARTA, the battery technology company from Ellwangen, Germany, is introducing the new A4 generation of lithium-ion button cells. Like its previous generations the CoinPower cell offers the highest energy density in the smallest space.

CES 2021 to feature iHeartMedia Session with Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Ryan Seacrest

The first all-digital CES 2021, 11-14 January 2021, will feature an iHeartMedia conference session on how technology has enabled some of today’s most famous artists to continue to create and introduce new music and immersive experiences for their fans during the pandemic. Moderated by nationally-syndicated on air host and TV personality and producer Ryan Seacrest, the session will feature a fireside chat with singer and songwriter Dua Lipa and a special performance by Billie Eilish on 12 January 2021 at 7pm EST, available only to registered CES attendees.

ARMOR solar power films wins the German Sustainability Award

ARMOR solar power films (ARMOR Group; Nantes, France) has won the German Sustainability Award in the category “Climate”. This prize is seen as a major success for the Franco-German company, which is a European leader in the OPV film market. The ceremony was held in Düsseldorf in the presence of the German Vice Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Development Minister Dr Gerd Müller.
