Two insightful forums to be held alongside Touch Taiwan 2017

 

Touch Taiwan 2017, the sixth edition of Taiwan’s smart display and touch control fair, is set to run 20-22 September at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center as the world’s largest exhibition of display products and technologies and grandest gathering of industry professionals, with leading display makers and industry insiders coming from around the world. Two major forums, namely Display Innovation Taiwan Conference 2017 and Micro LED Display Conference 2017, will be held during the exhibition period.

The Taiwan Display Union Association (TDUA) has collaborated with the Society for Information Display (SID) for the first time to host the Keynote 1 session of the Display Innovation Taiwan Conference 2017. They have invited domestic and overseas heavyweight industry elites and leaders to share their insights on the display innovations, including AU Optronics (AUO), Google, Merck, Prof Jun Souk of Korea University, E Ink, Corning, JDI and AKT. In line with the theme of “Changing the World with Display Innovations,” it is expected that through the keynote speeches and discussions on main subjects, the speakers can jointly explore future technological development directions and create new opportunities and advantages for the development of the touch-screen panel industry.

As the year’s most conspicuous subject in the display sector, Micro LED will be spotlighted at the Micro LED Display Conference 2017, which will be held on 21 September and will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Many prominent domestic and overseas industry leaders, experts and scholars from at home and abroad have been invited to speak at the conference, including Chen Li-yi, chairman of Mikro Mesa Technology; Wu Chih-I, general director of Electronic and Optoelectronic System Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI); Hsieh Ming-hsun, vice president of Epistar Corp.,; and Christian Geng, director of technology at AIXTRON SE for the morning session, while speakers at the afternoon session will include PlayNitride’s CEO Charles Li; Hui Hon-chiu, vice president of ASM Pacific; Kazuto Nishikawa, sales manager of TOPCON TECHNOHOUSE Corp.; Professor Kuo Hao-chung of National Chiao Tung University; and François Templier, senior project manager for GaN Microdisplays, CEA-LETI. The speakers will provide the newest market analyses and share advanced technologies to help the audience better understand the industry’s future developments and market trends, and a variety of the latest technologies.
